Food Drive Benefitting The People’s Resource Center
The recent federal service cuts and government shutdown have had a profound impact on families who rely on programs like SNAP to provide food for their tables and other necessities. Many of the individuals we serve, along with their loved ones, are already facing significant challenges. When benefit payments are delayed or pantries run empty, the stress can take a serious toll on mental health, increasing anxiety, depression, and family strain.
At Vine, we recognize the close connection between hunger and mental well-being. That’s why we’re partnering with The People’s Resource Center (PRC) to collect food and funds for their local food pantry. Each month, PRC provides more than 3,000 DuPage families with nutritious groceries, helping them save an average of $150 that can then be used for essentials like rent, utilities, and medicine.
How You Can Help:
🍎DONATE FOOD: Bring non-perishable items to your November or December in-office Vine appointments to place in the collection boxes in our waiting rooms. Non-perishable items include: canned tuna or chicken; canned soup, chili, or stew; canned or dried beans; canned vegetables or fruit (low-sodium, no sugar); dried pasta; pasta sauce; peanut butter; and oatmeal.
💛 DONATE FUNDS: Click the red “Donate Now” button below to donate securely online or mail a check to: PRC, 201 S. Naperville Rd, Wheaton, IL 60187. Every $1 donation buys $5 worth of food, and every $30 donation provides a week’s worth of groceries for a local family.
Together, we can ensure that everyone can feed themselves and their neighbors.
Thank you,
The Staff of Vine Counseling Center
